You must build this bike CORRECTLY!, August 5, 2011 By Frozen Toes McGee (Antarctica) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Velocity Fitness Indoor Cycle w/ 40 lb Flywheel (Sports) If you don't tighten all connections to the best of your strength and the best of someone a little stronger than you, the bike will fall apart and connections will break.
DO NOT BUILD THE BIKE UNLESS YOU ARE MECHANICALLY ENCLINED! If you aren't, you could be seriously hurt and damage the bike!
DO NOT BUILD THE BIKE UNTIL YOU BUY A TUBE OF LOC-TITE! If you don't use Loc-Tite on the pedal threads, they will BACK OUT and you will damage the bike and possible injur yourself when they come out.
Two people have used this bike for hours every day for the past two weeks. The only problem we run into is the right pedal backed out and cross threaded. I backed out the pedal all the way. I then turned the pedal around and threaded it through the opposite way. This allowed me to re-shape and correct the threads so that I could re-insert the pedal the correct way easily. I THEN USED LOC-TITE to keep it in place.

Awesome Spin bike, July 14, 2011 By This review is from: Velocity Fitness Indoor Cycle w/ 40 lb Flywheel (Sports) Great value! The bike offers a very smooth and quiet ride. I workout in front of the TV and dont't have any problems with noise. This is a great option to have at my house since I can't always make it to the gym for the spin classes. Also comes with a monitor that tracks your time, distance and calories. The water bottle is also included. I love the colors as well. Overall I am happy with my purchase and highly recommend this bike.

Not bad but you get what you pay for, September 26, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Velocity Fitness Indoor Cycle w/ 40 lb Flywheel (Sports) I purchased this bike to exercise 30 to 60 minutes 4 or 5 times a week. I did not want to spend a small fortune so I was looking for something on the cheaper side knowing that it probably would not be the greatest quality. However in just assembling it the plastic handle on the set-screw to adjust the seat position fowards and backwards cracked as soon as I tried loosening it the first time. If I turn the handle it just spins now so I have to use a vise grip to adjust it. Also the computer stopped working inside of the first 30 minutes. It just stopped receiving any data for time, distance or calories. I verified the wires were still connected, but it will not read anything out. Aside from that after 2 hours of use my impression is that it is noisy making various squeaking and clattering noises and it seems as though the chain misses a tooth on the gear every 5 or 10 minutes and makes a clanking noise so I am a bit concerned about the quality and how long it will hold up.
